First things first.....Happy New Year to you all and to celebrate 2010 I thought I would throw down the next Forza3 challenge following on from the success of FirePB’s competition. This time and thanks to a Christmas gift I already had I have a prize up for grabs. Don’t worry I will take care of P&P so it’s a free gift right to your door step if you triumph!

So on to the challenge......Some say it’s the most spectacular, most challenging and longest race track in the world, some say it’s the Green Hill other’s believe it is the sole test of your driving abilities........The Nordschleife, Nürburgring aka ‘The Ring’.

I have named the challenge after the BMW Performance Experience ‘The Ring Taxi’. Except this time you won’t be a passenger in a BMW M5 you will be responsible for every scratch, scrape and dent but with the luxury of being able to repair it all with the magic button known as ‘reset’.

So what are you waiting for let the challenge begin, seat yourself into BMW’s M5 and take on the full Nürburgring. Assists are up to you but I am proposing:

Traction Control = OFF
Stability Control = OFF
Brake Assist = OFF
AntiLock Brakes = ON
Transmission = Up to you
Racing Line = Up to you

This event will close on the January 31st at 12:00 Midnight. The winner will be he who has managed to set the quickest single lap time with the lease assists. The lap time target is 8:13 (officially recorded).....I have managed 8:58 so far.
Entries only count if your lap time is registered (listed) on the Xbox Live! Forza3 Leaderboards, accessible in game after your lap is completed.

Remember this is the Ring in a rear wheel drive 500bhp Saloon! Oh one last thing, the prize...............

Well I've registered a time of 8:42.462 in the BMW M5 E60 Class B [445] car. 17 mins of my life wasted imo.... That's a bl00dy long track. Fire why have you done it in your own car from your garage Class B [500] and not the stock. I hereby call up the judicator!

m8 did the challenge using the stock car (time of 08:32:361), time viewed by Device of off the Forza 3 Leaderboards and I saved the replay just incase. Then spotted someone had the BMW ring taxi tune and livery in the Forza 3 storefront, so just had to buy them and do another lap in M5 Ring Taxi

I say the next challenge should be on one of the short Japanese tracks and in something silly (SUV)? Then its all about smooth driving and maintaining speed.
